Tony Chalfant
Executive Vice President & Chief Credit Officer — Heritage Bank

Since 2020, Tony has served as Executive Vice President and Chief Credit Officer for Heritage Bank. He joined Heritage in 2018 as Senior Vice President/Regional Credit Officer through the acquisition of Puget Sound Bank – where he was a founding shareholder. At PSB, Tony lead the development of the bank’s risk assessment and culture that helped them grow into one of the strongest banks in the region.

Tony began his career as a national bank examiner with the U.S. Comptroller of the Currency (OCC). Eight years later he launched his commercial banking career with U.S. Bank, where he held various lending and leadership positions for over a decade, including Senior Vice President and Team Leader of its commercial banking division.

Tony earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in finance from Washington State University and is a graduate of the Pacific Coast Banking School. Throughout his career, he has served various community boards, including Boys and Girls Clubs of Bellevue, Eastside Business Roundtable, Bellevue Chamber of Commerce’s senior leadership group.
