Will Brown serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Credit & Lending Officer for AgFirst Farm Credit Bank. Mr. Brown joined AgFirst in 2017 and has responsibility for the Bank’s Secondary Mortgage Market activities, Capital Markets, Credit Administration, Wholesale Lending to affiliated entities, Internal Credit Review, Stress Testing, and CECL functions.

Mr. Brown began his career with a consumer lending subsidiary of NCNB in 1982, eventually moving to First Union in 1994. Mr. Brown worked at First Union and the predecessor Banks, Wachovia and Wells Fargo, for 20 years, serving in a variety of lending, credit and operational roles within the commercial bank. Mr. Brown then spent 5 years with First Citizens Bank of South Carolina as their EVP, Chief Credit Officer, which eventually was merged into First Citizens Bank of North Carolina.

Mr. Brown earned a bachelor’s degree in Monetary Economics and Finance from the University of North Carolina at Asheville.
